Visionary or False Prophet

Visionary or False Prophet

For some time now, there has been an explosion on the Internet of various people claiming to have visions or locutions from Jesus, the Blessed Mother, and Saint Michael. In the beginning, I was interested. But it didn’t take me long to question their validity. It is hard for me to believe that there are so many people having these mystical experiences. The messages they are giving are very lengthy, and there are “warnings” that cause a lot of fear and uncertainty for people. Some even say that heaven wants us to pray specifically for certain countries. And still, others give outlandish remedies for the terrible times to come. My gut told me most of these people were false mystics. But truth be told, I follow Medjugorje. I have been there twice and believe it is the real deal. The messages are never frightening or grim but positive, encouraging, and hopeful. If Medjugorje is the fulfillment of Fatima, as Saint Pope John Paul II said, then why look elsewhere.

But I know a lot of (Catholic) people that do look elsewhere. They follow these messages and websites daily. They talk about it all the time saying we need to “prepare” for what is coming. But we don’t know what’s coming. We can speculate, but we don’t really know. There is an anxiety, a kind of frenzy among some Catholics. It’s all doom and gloom. People seem to thrive on that. I know that is not what the Lord wants. He wants us to trust in Him. To live in the moment because that is where He is. With the constant barrage of people talking about these messages and warnings, I started to question myself. Was I wrong? So I took it to prayer and asked God; if there is something I am missing, You need to show me. If I am wrong then I need to know. Immediately I heard “Follow Me.” That was all I needed to hear, but God wasn’t done. Later that day, I found a video on Youtube titled Don’t Trust the Media and False Prophets Promoting Fear by Father Iannuzzi. It was on the Youtube Channel Divine Will Era, which is a great website. There is a lot to learn there. The video was a direct answer to my prayers. Father explains everything in a way that is so easy to understand. Everything he said confirmed that I had the right mindset all along.

I have been deceived before, and I’m not going to let that happen again. I found a website a long time ago called The Miracle Hunter. It’s a great tool. I have used it as a gauge for several years now. It lists all apparitions and the Church’s decision on that specific apparition. You’ll need the date that the apparition began to make it easier to locate it on the website. You can just google that. Once you find it, the website will tell you whether the apparition is approved, denied, or if there is no decision. Sometimes it will also give additional information as well. I have highlighted the two websites above and will add Father Iannuzzi’s videos below so you can investigate them yourself.

    Wooow!👏👏👏👏👏👍
Totally agree. If we would do just what Our Blessed Mother asks of us in Medjugorje there would be no reason to look elsewhere. FEAR comes from Satan, and he wants to paralyze each soul on earth. Thanks for being honest in writing this article. May we all wake from our spiritual comas, attend Mass, receive the Holy Eucharist, use our sacraments, say our rosaries, and welcome SILENCE. It is then we will all hear. We only need the FAITH of a mustard seed. God speaks❤️
